Mid-Level Staff

Responsibilities: Design, Development, Sourcing.

Design motorcycle and snowmobile clothing and accessories using freehand drawing and/or computer rendering. Understand the function of the clothing and accessories designed for the sport. Collaborate with complete product team in a creation and up-keep on new and existing products for the entire product lifespan.

This position will report to the Managing Director of Sourcing. Once a product is assigned full responsibility from design, development, and manufacturing is owned by the responsible party. Product Allocation to include, but not limited to: casual pieces, backpacks, bags, boots, gloves, base layer garments, mid layer garments, and Gore-Tex pants and jackets.


Specific Skills:
  • Experience in hard and soft goods development
  • Knowledge and passion in the Motor sports, Action Sports, Foot Wear or other Sporting Goods markets preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Extensive knowledge of product development timelines and needs - from inception through finial product release
  • Travel required to overseas vendors and domestic trade shows (approx 3 to 6 overseas trips a year)
  • Great communication skills (In describing product, in everyday communication with vendors, in everyday communication with product team)
  • Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, and Photoshop knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in creation of Technical Design Packages and Bill of Materials
  • Evaluate fit of garments on live models with ability to communicate fit comments to vendor efficiently

Industrial Design
Entry-Level Staff

Responsibilities: Design

Understand the end use demands of the clothing and accessories developed for the motor sports industry. Design using freehand drawing and/or computer rendering.

Create and/or design the construction of 3-dimension hand or CAD models. Create designs that are compatible with the seasonal design briefs and business plan. Assist and contribute in seasonal design reviews.

This position will report to the Managing Director of Sourcing. Klim products currently consist of, but are not limited to: casual pieces, backpacks, bags, boots, gloves, base layer garments, mid layer garments, and Gore-Tex pants and jackets.


Specific Skills:
  • Proven professional design experience
  • Good sketch/conceptual drawing skills-either freehand or on the computer
  • Experience directing both hand model development and CAD
  • Knowledge and passion in the Motor sports, Action Sports, Foot Wear or other Sporting
  • Goods markets preferred
  • Good group communication
  • Organization and documentation is required
  • Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Photoshop knowledge a plus

SALES
Outside Sales

KLIM USA is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative that is currently in the Powersports business and looking to expand their business.

Responsibilities: Prospect new dealers in assigned territories.
  • Sell to and service account base within assigned territory through regularly scheduled product presentations and service calls.
  • Solicit and submit account orders for each booking deadline.
  • Creating and manage product assortment plans for each assigned account.
  • Develop strong relationships with all internal and external customers through effective communication, efficient organizational skills and exceptional follow through.
  • Attend sales meetings and industry trade shows relevant to designated territory.
  • Review aging report and assist A/R in insuring payment.

Experience and Skills:
  • Three plus years overall experience required that included field sales, retail buying, sales business planning or sales business analysis within action sports apparel industry.
  • Familiar with territory and accounts within assigned marketplace.
  • Ability to prepare, plan and deliver clear and persuasive sales presentations.
  • Aptitude to develop seasonal assortments, forecasts and scenario plans.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Use financial data to make decisions and maximize account profitability.· Knowledgeable of competitive markets, customer and retail trends.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and the Internet required.
  • Suitable vehicle and valid driver's license required.
